On December 10, 2007, six India SCJs were ordained deacons. Above, (left to right), are Deacons Sanil (front), Jose, Aji, Sunil, Michael, and Jijo (see post of September 8, 2007). The ordinations took place at St. George church, in South Kumbalanghy, Kerala, by Bishop John Thattumkal.The deacons will now proceed to begin their diaconate ministry program: Michael will go to South Africa, Sunil will go to Scotland, Jose and Jijo will work in parishes in Kerala, Sanil and Aji will work in the Vasai Diocese, near Mumbai.
